About Divergent Futures
Welcome to Divergent Futures! Our work is based on the principles of the Neurodiversity Affirming Movement, where difference is seen as normal, not disordered. Co-founded by Anna Clarke (Psychologist & Play Therapist) and Monique Mitchelson (Clinical Psychologist) Divergent Futures is your hub for comprehensive resources, training, and consultation for supporting Neurodivergent people through a strengths-based lens.
Our primary focus is to empower therapists and other professionals in integrating principles of the Neurodiversity-Affirming Movement into their work with Autistic and ADHD people. We embrace the unique strengths of Neurodivergent individuals while acknowledging the inherent challenges faced in a world misaligned with Autistic and ADHD neurocognitive differences. Our passion for this area stems from our clinical work and own lived experience as Neurodivergent people.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or embarking on the early stages of your journey, join us in rewriting the narrative surrounding Neurodiversity. Together, we can shape a world where we recognise the value of every brain, and provide appropriate support for challenges that can arise from being different.
